In July 2009 Bowman Refrigeration completed its move of less than 2 blocks, into the facility formerly owned by Rolls Royce Marine Engines.  The move was long overdue, as the company had outgrown the other space long ago.  The new facility has quite a bit more office space, and the shop area is completely separated from the parts department and shipping and receiving area.  While the shop itself is not substantially larger than the shop at the old location, it has a better layout and higher overhead, and is complimented by a large fenced in yard area outside.  Other amenities include a 50 ton bridge crane, two 3 ton hoists mounted on a common bridge, and 600 amp 460 volt electrical service.
The company has already realized gains in productivity and efficiency in every area of the business.
